For several decades, cabin enthusiasts have gathered at Hellerudsletta. Hyttemessen is Norway's largest meeting place for everyone who dreams of cabin life – with exhibitors, talks and inspiration all under one roof. Here you'll meet manufacturers, craftsmen and suppliers, and can gather ideas for everything from choosing a plot to interior design.

Show cabin in log construction – wall to wall with the exhibition hall
Right next to the exhibition hall lies Norsk Hyttesenter, the Nordic region's largest show centre for cabins. Here you can see an Øverbygg cabin in log construction at full size – not on paper, but a space you can walk into, feel the timber and experience the rooms. Øverbygg is part of Faun Gruppen, which together showcases ten show cabins from five cabin companies at the centre.

This is what characterises an Øverbygg cabin
Øverbygg builds pre-fabricated log cabin shells in solid wood. We mill our own logs at our factory in Snåsa, with 6-inch log construction as standard in all cabins. This provides strong, stable walls – and the cosy, timeless atmosphere that only genuine log construction can give.
Øverbygg doesn't just build cabins – we also build log houses. For homes, we use 8-inch log timbers, meaning even thicker timber than in our cabins, for powerful and solid walls all year round. If you're looking for a log-built home, you'll find our house models here.

Practical information
Location: X Meeting Point, Hellerudsletta (Kragerudveien 50, 2013 Skjetten) – approximately 15 minutes outside Oslo. The area is well signposted from E6 at Olavsgaard and from RV 4 at Gjelleråsen, with good parking at the fair site.
